Hotelboating - a great way to discover and explore the inland waterways

On a hotelboat holiday no two days are the same. From the fresh new greens of spring shading delicate carpets of bluebells, through the golden hues of summer to the mellow tints of autumn - we can take you from peaceful moorings, which we might share with the kingfisher or heron, to bustling canal side towns and ancient historic cities.
You will wake each morning to a different view from your cabin window and, as we travel, so the countryside, villages and towns through which we pass provide an ever-changing scene. But within this changing scene there is a rhythm to the days.

Each day begins with a not-too-early cup of tea or coffee brought to your cabin, before breakfast is served at about 8.30. Breakfast over, we aim to start cruising by half-past nine, morning coffee with home-baked biscuits being served around mid-morning.

Later you might like to start working-up an appetite for lunch by walking along the towpath or helping to work the boat through any of the locks we may encounter - but this is, of course, entirely up to you.

We generally moor for lunch, though on some occasions the demands of the day's journey may mean we take lunch on the move.

As we cruise on into the afternoon, tea with home-made cakes is served, and we end the day's travelling in good time for dinner at about seven o'clock. The evenings are for you to spend as you choose - a walk perhaps or a visit to a local pub. Or you may decide to stay on board and chat, try some of our games and puzzles, or just relax and savour the peace and beauty of your surroundings.
